How the Medical Visa Process Works
- Free Medical Opinion & Enquiry – Share your medical reports with our team for a free consultation and treatment plan from our partner doctors.
- Invitation Letter – Once you confirm your treatment plan, we arrange a medical visa invitation letter from the hospital, which is required by Indian embassies/consulates for a Medical Visa (MED-X) application.
- Apply for Your Visa – Submit your visa application along with the invitation letter, passport, and required documents at your nearest Indian embassy, consulate, or through the official Indian visa portal.
- Travel & Airport Assistance – Once your visa is approved, we help you plan your travel and arrange airport pickup and local assistance on arrival in India.
- Treatment & Visa Extension Support – During your stay, our team supports you with hospital coordination and, if required, guidance on medical visa extension formalities with the local FRRO office.
Documents Typically Required for Medical Visa
- Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of arrival, and at least two blank pages.
- Recent passport-size photographs, as per Indian visa photo specifications.
- Medical visa invitation letter from the treating hospital in India (Swasthy Wellcare arranges this for you).
- Existing medical reports, prescriptions, and diagnostic test results related to your condition.
- Proof of sufficient funds to cover treatment and stay in India.
- Up to two attendants (immediate family members) can usually accompany the patient on a Medical Attendant (MED-X) visa, subject to embassy approval.
