Who this is for
Patients who have been told they need bypass surgery, a valve repaired or replaced, or a device implanted to control a rhythm problem — and who want the whole trip arranged rather than the operation alone.
What happens, in order
Your reports go to cardiac surgeons who treat your specific problem, and we come back with what each of them proposes and what it would cost. Once you choose, the hospital issues the invitation letter your visa needs.
On arrival you are admitted for a work-up: bloods, imaging and an anaesthetic review, which is when the plan is either confirmed or changed. Surgery follows, then intensive care, then a step-down ward. The days in hospital shown here are typical for an uncomplicated recovery.
Before you fly home a cardiologist reviews you and signs a fitness-to-fly assessment. Airlines can and do refuse boarding after cardiac surgery without one, which is the single most common reason a trip is extended at the patient's own cost.
What decides the length of the stay
Two things: how the heart recovers, and how quickly the wound settles. A patient who mobilises early is usually cleared sooner. If your surgeon asks for longer, take it — flying against cardiac advice is the risk this whole trip exists to avoid.

What it does not include
- A second procedure, if the work-up finds something the plan did not allow for.
- Cardiac rehabilitation after you are home, which we can arrange separately.
- International flights, which you book yourself or we book on your instruction.
- The visa fee itself, which is paid to the authorities of the country you are travelling to.
- Treatment for a condition found after admission that was not part of the plan.
- A longer hospital stay than the plan allows, if your recovery needs one.

What a package costs depends on your reports — the procedure a surgeon actually recommends, how long you are in hospital, and what your case needs. We would rather send you one figure we can stand behind than publish a headline number that changes once someone reads your file.
What a package covers is agreed in writing before you travel. Anything clinical is decided by the treating consultant after reviewing your reports, not by the package.
