Who this is for
Patients whose knee, hip or shoulder has reached the point where the joint, rather than the pain, is the problem — and who have been advised that replacement is the remaining option.
What happens, in order
Your imaging goes to orthopaedic surgeons who do the specific replacement you need, and the implant they propose is stated in the estimate rather than left open. Implants differ in price and in how long they are expected to last, and a quote that does not name one is not a quote.
After surgery, physiotherapy starts within a day. That is not enthusiasm — early movement is what decides the range you end up with, and a joint that is rested too long is harder to recover than a joint that hurts.
Supervised sessions continue after discharge, at your accommodation, until you can manage stairs and an airport. Your surgeon reviews the joint before you fly.
What decides the length of the stay
How quickly you can walk safely, and whether the wound is settled enough for a long flight. Patients who arrive already doing the pre-operative exercises their own physiotherapist gave them tend to leave sooner.

- One named case manager, from the first message until after you are home.
- The hospital invitation letter a medical visa application needs, and help completing the paperwork.
- Airport pickup on arrival and a transfer to your hotel or hospital.
- An interpreter for consultations, consent discussions and your discharge instructions.
- A teleconsultation with your treating doctor after you return, and your discharge summary sent to your own doctor.
What it does not include
- Replacement of a second joint, unless it was planned and quoted before you travelled.
- Mobility aids to take home, which we can source locally at cost.
- International flights, which you book yourself or we book on your instruction.
- The visa fee itself, which is paid to the authorities of the country you are travelling to.
- Treatment for a condition found after admission that was not part of the plan.
- A longer hospital stay than the plan allows, if your recovery needs one.
Why there is no price on this page
What a package costs depends on your reports — the procedure a surgeon actually recommends, how long you are in hospital, and what your case needs. We would rather send you one figure we can stand behind than publish a headline number that changes once someone reads your file.
What a package covers is agreed in writing before you travel. Anything clinical is decided by the treating consultant after reviewing your reports, not by the package.
