Transplantation replaces an organ that has failed. Kidney and liver are the two we coordinate most often, and both are as much a legal and logistical undertaking as a surgical one.
The part that takes longest
Donor assessment and legal documentation, not the surgery. Living-donor transplants require proof of relationship that is examined closely and properly so, and this is where timelines slip. We start that paperwork before anything else is booked.
What to expect of the stay
Six to twelve weeks in the country for donor and recipient, with frequent follow-up after discharge. Lifelong immunosuppression follows, and reliable access to those medicines at home is something we confirm before you travel rather than after.
