Who this is for
Patients with a disc, a narrowing or an instability that has stopped responding to physiotherapy and injections, and whose imaging shows something a surgeon can act on.
The question we ask first
Whether you need surgery. A great deal of back pain does not have a surgical answer, and a scan showing a bulging disc is common in people with no symptoms at all. If the consultants reading your file say the imaging does not explain your pain, we will tell you that, and it costs you nothing.
What happens, in order
Your imaging and your neurological findings go to spine surgeons, who state which operation they propose and what it is expected to fix — pain, weakness, numbness, or the progression of a deformity. Those are different goals and it matters which one is being promised.
Surgery is followed by a neurological check and, where the operation calls for it, a brace and a set of movement restrictions. Those restrictions are the part patients most often ignore and most often regret.
You are reviewed before you fly, and a physiotherapy plan goes home with you in writing.
What decides the length of the stay
The size of the operation. A single-level discectomy is a short admission; a multi-level fusion is not, and the flight home is harder. Your surgeon sets the date you can travel.

- A neurological check after surgery and a written physiotherapy plan to take home.
- A written estimate before anyone travels, stating what the figure covers and what it does not.
- One named case manager, from the first message until after you are home.
- The hospital invitation letter a medical visa application needs, and help completing the paperwork.
- Airport pickup on arrival and a transfer to your hotel or hospital.
- An interpreter for consultations, consent discussions and your discharge instructions.
- A teleconsultation with your treating doctor after you return, and your discharge summary sent to your own doctor.
What it does not include
- Injections or conservative treatment tried before surgery, which are quoted separately.
- A second-level procedure added after admission without prior agreement.
- International flights, which you book yourself or we book on your instruction.
- The visa fee itself, which is paid to the authorities of the country you are travelling to.
- Treatment for a condition found after admission that was not part of the plan.
- A longer hospital stay than the plan allows, if your recovery needs one.
Why there is no price on this page
What a package costs depends on your reports — the procedure a surgeon actually recommends, how long you are in hospital, and what your case needs. We would rather send you one figure we can stand behind than publish a headline number that changes once someone reads your file.
What a package covers is agreed in writing before you travel. Anything clinical is decided by the treating consultant after reviewing your reports, not by the package.
